Melatonin is the body's natural "sleep hormone". In the modern world, we are exposed to an unnatural amount of evening light exposure, which can disrupt melatonin production, worsen sleep quality, and cause a host of other long term adverse effects.

Aside from sleep, melatonin has numerous health benefits. These benefits include being anti-aging, anti-cancer, and an antioxidant. It may also be protective against weight gain, stomach ulcers, and heartburn.

To Know?

  • Melatonin supplementation has been shown to be safe when taken consistently for up to two years. It is unknown if using melatonin for longer than 2 years will slowly decrease the body's natural production of the hormone.
