N-Acetyl Cysteine (N-AC)

N-acetyl cysteine (N-AC) is the supplement form of the amino acid L-cysteine. It is used to replenish glutathione, which one of the most powerful antioxidants in the human body. Many psychiatric conditions are exacerbated by oxidative stress occurring in the brain. N-AC may be helpful in alleviating symptoms of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD and other impulse control disorders.

It may also help detoxify the liver, boost fertility, decrease acne, improve immune function, and reduce the risk of dementia, Parkinson's disease, heart disease, and some cancers.
